Job Title: Personal Assistant for Moving Job Summary: I am seeking a personal assistant to help with my upcoming move. The successful candidate will assist me in going through most rooms of our small home, deciding what to keep, donate or discard, and packing belongings. This is NOT a “pack up everything in the house” job – many things will be staying in the home after I move out. Responsibilities: Collaborate with me to create a packing plan for each room of the house Assist with sorting and organizing household items into categories of keep, donate, or discard. Bring boxes and other needed packing materials Taking donate and discard items away Light cleaning (laundry, dishes, dusting off items to be packed) Pack items carefully and efficiently, ensuring they are properly labeled and organized for transport Assist with the disassembly of furniture and other large items as needed (very little of this is currently anticipated, right now just taking a tv off its wall mount and removing the wall mount from the wall) Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the packing process Requirements: Must have good communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience with packing and organizing a plus, but not required Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, and able to work independently Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must be ok with dogs – I have 2 The home is located in the North Forest Hills area of Chapel Hill and the packing needs to be done before the movers come on Friday, April 28. |
